Community-Led Hearing on Saint Paul Police Aggression and Ice Collaboration

Community members and local officials are set to confront growing concerns over the St. Paul Police Department’s (SPPD) collaboration with ICE during the Rose Avenue raid and related federal immigration actions across the city.

In response to community outrage following the Rose Avenue ICE raid on November 25, a community-convened hearing has been scheduled to address the SPPD’s role in federal immigration enforcement and concerns over violations of the city’s separations ordinance.

Members of the St. Paul City Council and the SPPD Police Chief have been invited to attend. City Council Vice President HwaJeong Kim announced she will meet with residents to hear grievances related to SPPD actions during the raid and ICE operations across the city.
