Engagement & Growth
We reached over 1 million people in the last year. At our peak our TV News program reached a .2 market share for our time slot
Stories & Culture
In 2023 we launched a weekly recurring TV news program on the CW Twin Cities. It ranked higher among older demographics as it is a longer form, linear news product that publishes first on broadcast Television and then digital.
It’s regionally recognized for its journalism excellence receiving 12 regional Emmy nominations in just 18 months winning 3 of the awards.
Center for Broadcast Journalism
In 2021 we incubated the nonprofit organization now known as the Center for Broadcast Journalism and its signature youth program. We allocated financial resources, space and equipment to start a program designed to educate youth from diverse backgrounds and help them enroll in college level journalism or media programs.
When it was a department within our company the program was year round. When it became its own entity the mission expanded to also support the youth in obtaining employment in the field to advance representation in media.

One place that our newsroom distributes our reporting is via independent journalist Georgia Fort, a digital brand we own. Her online platforms were the number one preferred method for Black audiences to receive their news.
