Georgia Fort

Georgia Fort is a three-time Midwest Emmy award winning journalist. She was one of two journalists in the courtroom for the sentencing of Derek Chauvin. Her mission as a storyteller is to change the narrative by amplifying truth, citing diverse sources, and contextualizing social justice issues. For over 15 years, her work ethic and powerful approach to storytelling has distinguished her as a thought leader on equitable journalism practices. In 2023 she launched the independently produced news program "Here's the Truth" that was nominated for 12 Regional Emmys and won three. Fort has been awarded by the National Association for Women in Business, Minneapolis Business Journals 40 under 40, the Minnesota Society of Professional Journalists and more. Georgia is a mother of three girls and wife of professional boxer, Cerresso Fort

Becca Gilbuena

Rebecca (Becca) Gilbuena is a regional Emmy award winning news producer with 10 years media experience. Becca left mainstream media in 2015. She has since served as Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office public information officer, employee communication manager for both a global financial company and a Minnesota-based technology retailer. Most recently, Becca worked for a company full of brilliant scientists a global communications strategist and public relations manager before serving as one of the lead producers for BLCK Press' flagship show Here's The Truth. Becca is from Barnesville, MN. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2008 with a degree in broadcast journalism. Becca is grateful to be on a team of people focused on listening, telling the truth, and amplifying the experiences of Black and brown Minnesotans.

Rasheem Harris

Rasheem Harris is a seasoned technology professional with a rich background in Software Quality Assurance Engineering. With a career marked by precision and innovation, Rasheem has now transitioned to work alongside Georgia Fort at BLCK Press in an administrative capacity. He is the proud father of two wonderful girls and the husband of Nyia Harris, a dynamic professional speaker. Rasheem's dedication to excellence in the tech industry seamlessly aligns with BLCK Press's mission of amplifying Black voices and delivering impactful, community-focused news. He believes deeply in the vision of BLCK Press, striving to support its mission of fostering greater understanding and representation through insightful journalism and advocacy. His commitment to the organization's goals underscores his passion for empowering diverse narratives and contributing to meaningful social change.
